The grounds at Mid Wales Holidays

As guests, you are invited to enjoy our private fields and wander through the woods at your leisure during your stay.
Lay of the land
Set in 15 acres, the grounds feature a mix of grassland and cover crops (depending on the season), two ponds including one for dogs to swim in and a fenced-off wildlife pond, plus two woods. One wood is a lovely open bluebell wood with mature oak and beech trees. The other wood is more dense and therefore a perfect home for a variety of different wildlife.
For those interested in dog training, the grounds are often used for gundog training, scentwork, mantrailing, and more. We have set out to aid in improving the dogs' confidence and challenging those that are ready. If you are a dog trainer and want to bring your own group of clients to train here please get in touch.
Please note that there are sheep and other livestock in surrounding fields and that, while fenced and gated, we cannot guarantee that the boundaries are fully secure.
Facilities at a glance...
- One rough wood with dense cover and cleared tracks for handlers. Great for spaniels.
- One open wood with a wide, clear avenue through.
- Two height-adjustable log jumps into the open wood.
- Two grass fields with mown strips, reedy grass areas for hunting and undulation.
- One round jumping pen.
- One cover crop field.
- One medium size pond in the main field with gentle, sloped entry on one side.
- One small pond with island.
- Full and half-height stock fencing with barbed wire removed for jumping.
- One enclosed agricultural barn with water and electricity, and seating for 14.
- One open agricultural barn for sheltered training, or undercover parking.
