Y Beudy is set on the hill at the end of a secluded country lane yet only a few miles off the main road. The river Severn runs along the road at the bottom of the lane and there are lots of beautiful footpaths from the house.
Y Beudy is an ideal rural hideaway. It is set in a picturesque rural area just outside Llandinam, a quaint village with black and white buildings and a beautiful backdrop of hills. Y Beudy is between Newtown and Llanidloes on the A470. Local places to visit include the Severn Way walk, Llyn Clwedog (a stunning reservoir) Hafren Forest and Plynlimon. Also Gregynog Hall, Powys Castle, steam train rides, canal boat trips and the Cambrian coastline are in the area.
Newtown is 15 minutes away and set on the banks of the River Severn offering a good selection of pubs and restaurants, as well as excellent shopping, this historic market town is famous for its arts and music with museums, art galleries and theatre. Llanidloes is 10 minutes away in the other direction and is a very pretty old town with lots of unique shops and places to eat and drink.
If you want to go further afield Aberystwyth and the stunning Welsh coastline is less than an hour away with plenty of stunning scenery and a traditional town with unique shops. Incredible Snowdonia National Park and the Brecon Beacons are not far if you fancy more to explore .
